Shortlisted entries and above will be included in the "Annual of Spatial Design in Japan 2025 Displays, Signs & Commercial Spaces" (inside and outside editions).
In the case of duplicate entries or series, some entries may be omitted.
Applicants are responsible for promptly submitting photographic manuscripts and other materials necessary for inclusion in the yearbook to the designated publisher. The yearbook will be edited by the "Kukan Design Organization" separately established by the Japan Commercial Environmental Design Association (JCD), the Japan Design Space Association (DSA), and the Japan Sign Design Association (SDA).
Format: Bound in top binding Scheduled publication date: December 2025
The winners of each award may be asked to give lectures at seminars of the association.
The award-winning works will be exhibited in major cities throughout Japan, including "KUKAN DESIGN AWARD Exhibition 2025" at "GOOD DESIGN MARUNOUCHI" in mid-February 2026, "KUKAN DESIGN AWARD Exhibition 2025" at "Comprehensive Trade Fair for Stores JAPAN SHOP 2026" in early March 2026.
Please obtain prior approval from the client, business owner, and related parties for all entries. All entries are subject to this condition.
All applicants are responsible for the management of copyrights, rights to use photographs, publication rights, industrial property rights, etc., of their works in advance.
All entries must be free from any suspicion of imitations or plagiarism. The Secretariat will not be involved in any conciliation or arbitration in the event of trouble caused by the applicant.
If any significant alteration or intentional modification of the photographs or videos of the entries is found, the award will be cancelled even after the judging has been completed.
Please be careful not to submit the same work more than once.
Failure to follow these procedures may result in the ineligibility of the winning entry for publication in the yearbook.
Please note that the photographer and the entrant must resolve any photo usage permissions between them before submitting the entry.

If the photographer's name is not indicated in the "Photographer" column of the entry form, the name of the author is not required to be indicated.
The entry will be deemed to be a "no-show".

[Handling of Copyrights]
Applicants are required to make prior arrangements with all parties involved before submitting their entries.
